RFT was declared for the LADWP Scattergood Unit 4 7 project. WSC developed process models for a 1+1 Rapid Response Combined Cycle and 2 simple cycle units. The Rapid Response Combined Cycle portion consists of a 107FA Gas Turbine (GT), A650 Steam Turbine (ST) and Vogt Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG). The simple cycle portion consists of two GE LMS100 Combustion Turbines (CT). The simulator includes models for the GT, ST, HRSG, CT, natural gas fuel systems, electrical systems, condensate and feedwater systems, auxiliary systems and integration with a MarkVIe virtual control system which provides process control for the entire plant. It will be used for training operators prior to plant commissioning so that they can gain operational experience on this new plant.
